According to reports, Manchester United is firming up its interest in Castillo, but it's not the only European giant considering him. Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the young midfielder.

Due to international transfer regulations, Castillo cannot join a European club until he turns 18. To stay up-to-date with his development, Manchester United scouts have been attending LDU Quito's training sessions regularly.

LDU Quito has a connection with former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia, which might influence Castillo's decision if he does decide to move to Manchester United.
