Prosecutor Paul Greaney described the situation as "truly shocking." He showed dashcam footage of Doyle shouting at people to move and then accelerating into the crowd while beeping his horn. The video showed people hitting the windshield and being dragged under the vehicle.

Prosecutors emphasized that Doyle's actions were not driven by ideology, but rather a loss of temper. They stated that Doyle intentionally caused harm to those in the crowd, resulting in numerous injuries on a large scale.

Judge Andrew Menary is expected to pass sentence on Tuesday.
