Waddle believes that Isak is facing criticism from fans due to his previous behavior at Newcastle.
According to Waddle, Isak's decision to leave Newcastle was handled poorly, as he refused to train and instead went to Real Sociedad to train on his own.
Additionally, Isak did not participate in any friendlies before joining Liverpool, which is a highly competitive and physically demanding league.
As a result, Isak has taken time to adjust and Waddle thinks he is two or three weeks behind his teammates in terms of fitness and performance.
Waddle also mentioned that Isak's performance with the Swedish national team has been disappointing, with Sweden struggling to qualify for the World Cup.
Despite acknowledging Isak's talent, Waddle believes that his past behavior has led to his current struggles.
