Solskjaer has also revealed that Sancho's pre-season was disrupted by an ear infection, which kept him out of training for 10 days.

As a result, Sancho was unable to establish himself in the team and find his rhythm before Solskjaer's departure.

Sancho is currently on loan at Aston Villa and is expected to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract unless he impresses in the remaining months of the season.
