Patricio's farewell ceremony was attended by his family, former teammates, and coaches who managed him during his national team career. They praised him for his technical, tactical, physical, and emotional qualities, as well as his work ethic and professionalism.

Current national team coach Roberto Martinez, along with former coaches Fernando Santos and Paulo Bento, attended the ceremony. Bento, who gave Patricio his professional debut, praised his exceptional qualities and work ethic, which contributed to his extraordinary career.

Santos, who worked with Patricio during his time as a national team coach, described him as one of the best goalkeepers he had worked with, not only for his skills but also for his humility, determination, and spirit of sacrifice.

Patricio has been without a club since the end of June, when he left Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
